Summer Loving, Had Me a Blast...

Hellooooo! It's only been ages, blog world. But, here I am. I am going to attempt to try to make blog posts more frequently now that summer has come to a close(tears), I will get back into gear. But, for today, my last day of summer, I will reminisce on the dream that was the last few months. This summer was seriously an amazing one and I am so sad to see it go. Here are a few things I got up to...

IRELAND

My family and I headed to Ireland for two weeks at the beginning of July. My parents are originally from Ireland so most of my family still lives there. I used to go every year but I hadn't been in about four years this time. We spent the days bike riding, swimming, taking rain jackets on and off, and just having the best time with family. I also did quite a bit of shopping when we went to Dublin and Galway City, seeing as they have a flippin TOPSHOP in both cities. I love Topshop, although not so much the prices. It was seriously the nicest holiday ever!

NEW YORK

Just a few days after getting home from Ireland, we packed up again to head to NYC for a few days for a sports tournament my brother had. My dad and brother mostly did all sports related things but us girls obviously had to do a bit of shopping and sightseeing. While walking around, we went to Bryant Park, which is right behind the New York Public Library. It was the nicest little heaven in the center of the city. There was music, tables, and the summer sun setting. It was so amazing.

ONE DIRECTION
As soon as we went to take a picture, I saw Harry Styles' face pop up on the screen for their fragrance commercial. CAN YOU TELL I REALLY LIKE HIM?

YES. I LOVE ONE DIRECTION. And not like I love "Best Song Ever" and "What Makes You Beautiful" kind of love, like I know every word to every single song and absolutely adore them. I basically try to sneak in "SO HARRY STYLES" into every conversation I have.  My friend Kyle and I had tickets to all three shows at Gillette Stadium and it was seriously the most amazing and fun three days. My sisters, some of their friends, and some of our friends were all going to some of the shows and with it being a stadium show, it was so fun to walk around and get to see everyone and all scream like animals after the show ended. Every night was so amazing, but the third night, we had seats RIGHT NEXT TO THE CATWALK. It was the most incredible thing ever. I couldn't believe that was them. AND....during their second to last song, myself and Harry had a little conversation and we ended up getting his water bottle too. I SOUND LIKE A WEIRDO STALKER BUT IT WAS AMAZING, LET ME LIVE! Okay, I'll shut up about it all now or I'll go on for ages.

Well, that's it. So long, summer. You were incrediiiible. Can't wait for you next year.

Tresses Obsessed

Recently, I have become massively obsessed with hair. Of course I have always been a fan of good tresses, but I have a real love now for hair that is a bit undone and different. I believe hair can turn a simple t-shirt and jeans outfit into an incredible look. Maybe by summer, I will take the plunge, and dip dye my ends my favorite shade of light violet. Until then, I will keep drooling over having hair as incredibly cool as these ladies:

Hair guru Lou Teasdale rocking my absolute favorite look.

Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall rocks amazing blue hair.

Mary Kate Olsen's signature undone hair look is always perfection.

Sienna Miller highlights her coveted layers with waves.

Another One Bites The Dust...

Well, that's it. Whether you believe it or not, 2013 is over and 2014 is here.

I am in shock, actually, at how fast this year went and it doesn't even seem like New Year's at all. 2013 had it's amazing moments and not so great moments. But, I have a feeling 2014 is going to be a great year. With every new year though, comes the inevitable break of my resolutions. However, this year, maybe considering it is documented here, I will stick to it. Maybe...I said maybe. Here are some of my resolutions for 2014:

1. Exercise Every Day!
I am horrendous at making sure I get exercise every day. I will come up with any excuse in the book not to go. The list includes: 10 more minutes and I'll go, it's too dark, it's too cold , it's too hot, The Bachelor is on, I can skip today(which by the way, doesn't really work I found out if you skip every day)  But, I am forcing myself to do at least 30 minutes of calorie burning a day. I can't wait for the excuses I'll come up with every day to avoid it this time. Stay tuned...

2. Seriously think about what career I want
God, I hate making adult decisions. I will put it off at all costs. Well, not that I am at college, it's time to actually start deciding what it is I want to do. Currently, I am studying Elementary Education to be a teacher, but I am not a hundred percent positive that is what I want to do. I love writing and am thinking of something in communication or journalism. Thing is, I don't quite trust my 18 year old self to decide what exactly I want to be doing for the next 40 years of my life...But, I better get to thinking.

3. Travel more
I WANT TO SEE INDIA! LONDON! PARIS! TOKYO! Too bad I got the old ball and chain(college  tuition) dragging me down as soon as I get any bright idea that involves a few bucks. However, this summer, my parents are treating us to go see our family in Ireland and make a stop in London. I am so excited. I have not been to Ireland in about 4 years( which is a lot for us because my parents are from there) and I have never been to London. I am a little bit obsessed with London. Ahh, my friends are going to have their eyes roll to the back of their heads when they first hear me refer to my cell phone as a mobile after being gone an extensive two weeks...Channeling my inner Madonna, you could say. We will also be traveling to New York City in July for a sports tournament my brother is in. I'll probably still be shopping at Target while in NYC. Hey, I got a budget, you know. But, I do want to travel more, even if it's a quick hour drive for a day trip. I want to soak up the world because it is my oyster and all.

Anyway, I hope you all have a lovely and amazing 2014. You can do anything you want, you seriously can. I believe in you and you can thank me later in your Oscar speech and also with one million dollars. Be kind. Enjoy!

Baby, It's Cold Outside(But I look Goooooood)

While I may not absolutely love the winter days(short ones at that!) as much as I adore the summer, I am in love with winter style. Chunky sweaters, leather, and dark colors, are sort of my true love. Sweater weather really is better weather. I also have a small obsession with winter jackets. I am currently loving anything with a little bit of fur(faux, of course) and black or army green. It's borderline out of hand, actually. Here are some of my favorite winter looks:
